Howard B. Esbin, Ph.D.
CEO, The Prelude Suite

My experience as a senior executive spans threes decades in the retail industry, international development, and philanthropy.

My experience as a senior executive spans threes decades in the retail industry, international development, and philanthropy. This includes P&L responsibility for a $25M retail merchandising budget at 31, work as a consultant to an African stone-carvers’ cooperative, and directing an annual volunteer-based fund-raising event that combined the world’s largest one-day volleyball tourney (10,000 players) with an all-day rock concert (15,000 party-goers). During my tenure, we donated over $2 million to local charities. In my mid 30s, I also returned to university part-time and earned three successivedegrees over 14 years culminating in a doctorate in education. I then conducted postdoc research on the nature and psychology of social imagination. This led to an extraordinary meeting when I was 50 - 16 years ago - that inspired me to create what’s ultimately become the Prelude Suite™. The Prelude Suite™ empowers virtual team performance by accelerating trust and strengthening soft skills. We offer a unique experiential learning platform and methodology involving self-assessment, self-expression, co-creation, and story telling. This is used around the world by diverse project teams in business, schools, and non profit organizations.
